Filament Remaining and Job Sufficiency Calculator
Weigh a partial spool, subtract its tare and reserve, then check whether you have enough filament for your next job.

Your planning result
- Remaining filament
- 150 g (about 50.3 m)
- Usable after reserve
- 130 g
- Whole job / one-copy surplus
- 85 g
- Complete copies
- 2
The entered estimate fits within your usable filament. Reserve and slicer accuracy still matter.
Method and interpretation
Remaining = gross - tare. Usable = max(0, remaining - reserve). Complete copies = floor(usable / grams per copy). Approximate length uses circular filament area and the chosen density.
Use a measured tare from the same spool type. Include supports, brim, purge and prime structures in your slicer job estimate. No brand tare preset is assumed. Scale accuracy and density affect this estimate.
