3D Print Bed Layout Planner

Arrange multiple STL and 3MF footprints on your saved printer bed. Files stay in this browser and are never uploaded.

Choose parts

Choose one or more models to read their rectangular bed footprints.

Read-only, browser-local planning. No model is uploaded.

Choose models to plan a layout. Fit conclusions appear after successful processing.

Plan print batches conservatively

Use the bed layout guide for spacing, brims and stability considerations.

Footprints, spacing and rejected placements

This browser-local planner packs axis-aligned rectangular XY footprints, with optional 90-degree turns, using a conservative shelf arrangement. STL coordinates are treated as millimetres; 3MF units and supported build transforms are resolved. It does not nest arbitrary outlines or search every packing arrangement.

For a 220 x 220 mm bed and 5 mm margin, two 100 x 80 mm footprints can occupy x = 5 and x = 110, with y = 5. The second ends at x = 210, leaving 10 mm to the right edge. A 10 mm-wide brim on each part exceeds the 5 mm inter-part gap; reserve more space and verify the sliced footprints.

Rejected placements need another batch or a different layout. A suggested fit does not certify sequential printing: toolhead clearance, gantry collisions, supports, exclusions and Z heights belong in the slicer/printer review. Failed file processing is separate from an empty selection.

Record the actual sliced plate

Slice the chosen layout in your printer's slicer. Enter its complete material consumption and duration in Several plates / one job. Rectangular placement supplies neither grams nor print time and does not establish successful production.

Open Several plates / one job at the destination, then add the offered unsliced plate. Existing job rows are preserved.

Model placement versus sliced motion

This tool screens rectangular model footprints. Sliced positive-extrusion and travel extents can include purge/prime moves, start/end routines and Z hops. Review their explicit coordinate minima/maxima in the G-code viewer and coordinate-scope guide. For sequential printing use native head/gantry clearance review; a fitted footprint is insufficient.
