3MF Wall Thickness Checker

Estimate sampled wall thickness in the supported, resolved 3MF build. Check the declared unit and placed geometry before interpreting the result; a ray hit is not necessarily the wall of one isolated part.

Choose a 3MF

3MF files up to 25 MiB are supported. Your file is resolved and sampled in this browser.

Try an example

Does the checker include a repeated resource after a 50% placement scale?

Settings: Declared unit: millimetre. Review threshold: 0.6 mm. Load locally, then run the sampled check.

Downloads this public control, then opens it locally. Your own file can still be chosen above.

Placed-build interpretation

The checker resolves supported mesh build items, repeated resources and nested component transforms into one millimetre scene. It samples at most 2,000 selected triangle centroids; unmeasured rays and unsampled triangles remain outside the measured result. Open boundaries, neighbouring parts and assembly gaps need review in the original application. Unsupported required or recommended extensions, unsafe packages and unresolved mesh geometry stop with an error rather than a guessed result.

Read the sampling method. Keep the original 3MF and compare critical geometry with its native slicer preview.
