Calculate the price before preparing the document
Use the 3D Print Cost Calculator to establish your production cost, then the 3D Printing Price Calculator to choose a selling price. This generator presents the reviewed amount to a customer; it does not calculate print time or prove that a job is profitable.
Keep the model reference with the quote
Record the filename, revision, units and agreed print specification. If you revise the geometry, make a revised quotation and retain the matching file yourself. A typed filename is a reference, not verification of the file or approval of its design.
Preparing a revised quotation?
Keep an earlier version, describe what changed and review the selling price against the new specification. Read the quotation checklist before sending the PDF. Open the actual exported document and confirm revision, quantity, material, finish, delivery, assumptions, exclusions and indicative lead time against the agreed scope. Keep the private cost record separate.
What happens after download?
Send the quotation using your normal business process. Customer acceptance, payment and production scheduling happen outside InspectMesh. Download an editable draft if you want to reopen the details later.
Frequently asked questions
Does this send a quotation to my customer?
No. Download the document and send it yourself.
Does the quotation include my profit margin?
The customer document shows the selling price and the scope you enter. Your internal cost, margin and fee assumptions are excluded.
Can I reopen my quotation?
Yes. Import a private editable draft or quotation archive, or reopen a draft or quotation family you explicitly saved in this browser. Business profiles are saved separately and applied only when you choose. Later edits are not automatically saved. Browser storage can be cleared and does not provide cloud backup.
